Rede Odonto Empresas aimed to redesign two of its main apps: one for clients and another for dentists. The primary goal was to align the visual identity of these apps with the CNP Seguradora Design System, ensuring consistency and visual coherence with the company's other platforms. Additionally, there was a need to improve the user experience, making it easier for both audiences to access the functionalities and services offered by the apps.
Execution
The project began with updating the visual identity of the apps, adhering to the CNP Seguradora Design System guidelines. Beyond this task, I took the initiative to map out and identify opportunities for improvement for future updates. We also enhanced several screens to make them as intuitive and clear as possible for users. This additional effort included analyzing user flows, identifying pain points, and suggesting new features that could add value to both clients and dentists.
A thorough study was conducted on the key flows and functionalities in both apps. Following this, we held several validation sessions with the stakeholders.
App for Clients
Main Features: Find Your Dentist, Plan Coverages, Reimbursement, Favorite Clinics, Usage History, Specialties, and My Payments.
App for Dentists
Main Features: Request Authorization, Policyholder Eligibility, Requested Authorizations, Reanalysis, Extension/Abandonment, Electronic Billing, Dispute Resolution, Statement and Invoices, and Payments.
Improvements
We identified improvement opportunities for future updates, suggesting new features and refining the user experience for both apps, ensuring continuous and innovative solutions.
Fun fact: We replaced the app icons, names, and descriptions in the app stores to make the difference between the apps clearer for users. There was a lot of confusion, with many clients downloading the app for dentists by mistake, for example.
The main goals of the landing page are:
To explain what the project is
Highlight its main advantages
Encourage people to sign up
We also included testimonials from those who are already using Pocket Reading. It's a very powerful form of social proof to showcase the project's strength.
Next Steps
The two apps have been around for some time, and their ratings in app stores are not good. After the visual overhaul and addressing specific UX issues, the goal now is to further enhance the apps to progressively improve the reviews.
